2/17/07 - AWE's Mustang AWD-500-SE Dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) APR 104 oct production version
2.0.
2.) Open dumps & stock airbox
3.) Gas was purchased 10/4/06 and used at drags on either 10/6 or 10/25, then
siphoned back out. I noted it was green, not the normal blue as I put it
in the car on 2/17. So, it was some sort of mix of 93/104.
4.) Boost was adapting during dyno pulls after changing programs. It was
increasing each run in the 3000-5000 range, but still below desired. This
caused the lower than expected torque peak value.
6/10/06 - KTR Dyno Dynamics dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) APR 104 oct production version
2.0.
2.) Closed dumps & stock airbox
6/4/06 - European Performance Labs (EPL) Mustang AWD-500-SE dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) APR 93 oct production version 2.0.
2.) Closed dumps & stock airbox
5/13/06 - European Performance Labs (EPL) Mustang AWD-500-SE dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) APR 104 oct production version
2.0.
2.) Open dumps & stock airbox
3.) Stock S4 makes about 210wHP, so 0.84 correction used
4/1/06 - European Performance Labs (EPL) Mustang AWD-500-SE dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) APR 93 oct production version
2.0.
2.) Cone Filter connecting pipe smaller than MAF caused inaccurately high MAF
values, leading to richer running
3.) One fan misaligned during stock airfilter runs caused higher IAT and lower
power on successive pulls
11/11/05 - XXTuning's Dynapack Dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) I'm 99% sure that 93oct Beta BV is the same as the production version
2.0. I don't think anything was changed after beta BV, which was the last
beta.
2.) 93oct BetaBV made 30wHP more than the prior 93oct production v1.2 version..
3.) 93oct BetaBV made the same power as the old 104oct v.12 program
4.) 104oct BetaPA made 30wHP more than the prior 104oct production v1.2 program
5.) Open dumps made 40+wHP and 40+wTQ
4/30/05 - Yarrowsport's DynoDynamics Dyno: (APR Stg3):
Open dumps, Aquamist on, 104bAC code. 393.7 wHP
10/22/04 - XXTuning's Dynapack Dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) These runs were all done with open exhaust dumps.
2.) 104betaAC code made 40+ wHP and about 40 wTQ more than the 104prod code. The 104betaAC code does increase boost near the high end, and this should be addressed in the next beta code. Also note that the boost values the dyno records are slightly higher than what the car's MAP sensor reads. The dyno operators have noticed that in the past it has been about 1 psi higher than actual. Likewise, I trust the car's readings logged in ECUx.
3.) A few
weeks prior a stock S4 dyno'd 190wHP/220wTQ. On that day, my
104prod
w/Dumps did 378wHP... today I did low 380's, so those are close enough
to assume
the weather conditions did not change much and the 0.76 is still a
valid value
to divide by in order to get crank HP/TQ values.

9/25/04 - XXTuning's Dynapack Dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) +45 wHP improvement with open exhaust dumps.
Tested using standard APR Stg3 104 program with Sunoco 104 gas.
No other
changes were made, just removing the caps on the exhaust dumps. See my Exhaust
Dumps page for more info.
2.) The peak numbers to not reflect it, but at higher RPMs (>5400),
it
appears the Aquamist's cooling resulted in more power. In
general, I feel
the effects due to Aquamist are better noted when doing a multi-gear
pull, such
as a drag run, and are less obvious in a single dyno pull. See my
Aquamist
page for more info.
3.) Maybe having the Aquamist allowed me to advance more timing, or
maybe I
could have done it without the Aquamist. Either way, adding 3 deg
of
timing added 30+ ft-lbs and 20+ HP in the midband.
4.) A stock S4 dyno'd
190wHP and 220wTQ on this day. Thus divide by 0.76 to get
power/torque at
the crank.

1/24/04 - XXTuning's Dynapack Dyno: (APR Stg3):
Notes:
1.) On this day, a stock S4 with exhaust dyno'd 224wHP.
That works out to about 0.83 to use as a factor - divide wheel values
by that to
get crank HP/TQ...
